Microsoft announced they are going to be hosting the first Microsoft Linux conference, named WSLconf 1, on March 10 – 11, 2020. The new WSLconf (aka Windows Subsystem for Linux Conference) will be a community-organized event and free to attend. It’s going to be held on the Microsoft campus in Redmond, WA in Building 20; so attendee space will be limited.

WLSconf 1 Presentation and Speakers

The WSLconf will be featuring presentations by the creators of Pengwin, the Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL) team at Microsoft, and the Ubuntu on WSL team at Canonical.

Are you interested in speaking or leading a workshop at WSLconf 1? If so, there will be a call for speakers opening soon. Keep an on the official WSLconf 1 website for updated details.

Free Registration

The registration to attend WSLconf 1 will be free. Being held in Building 20 on the Microsoft Redmond campus, there will be limited space for attendees. For those who do attend, lunch and parking will be provided.

If you are interested in attending WSLconf 1, you will need to preregister once registration opens. You can expect registration to open within the next couple of months.
